About.

Hi, I'm Rebecca.

I am a student at the University of Minnesota.
I am a biochemistry major who dreams of attending medical school and writing children's books.
I am a Sunday school teacher, HCMC volunteer, physiology TA, research assistant, and nanny.
I love science, being challenged, learning, reading, love stories, movies, stars, driving, sunsets, socks, being clean, rain, and shoes.
I have too many pet peeves to list.
I drink way too much coffee and sleep too little.
I am somewhat of a puzzle.

But most importantly, I am a Christian and my desire is to serve the Lord.  I am a deeply sinful person, but I am loved without condition and blessed beyond comprehension.  God became man to die for my sin debt and redeem me - the most beautiful thing to ever grace this planet was obedient unto death so that I may be saved.
God is so good and I cannot respond in any other way than to bow down at His feet.  I hope to glorify Him in all that I do; I am not on this earth to fulfill my will, but His.
I want to serve the Lord.
I want to change the world.

"But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God — not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." -Ephesians 2:4-10

I started this blog in 2010, a year after my brother passed away and my life changed forever.
This is where I hash out my thoughts and compile what consumes my mind:  my God and our relationship, my life, my future, my brother, and my family.
